Question by : Is ,000 enough to go to Europe not counting the flight or hotels? I will be there for two months.?
I’m planning on going to Czech,France, Greece, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, England, Ireland, and would love to also visit Morocco? Will $ 3,000 be enough?

In over 20 trips from the Uk i’ve hardly started to see all of Europe.
Average cost for Europe is $ 60 a day plus hotels for reasonable comfort.
As a backpacking trip with few luxuries you can do it for less.

You can get to Morocco in 35 minutes from Tarifa in the south west of Spain. There is a fast ferry service. It’s only nine miles across the Straights.
Tarifa is a little gem but it’s been discovered and getting spoilt by new housing developments.You can see the Rif mountains of Morocco easily. It has a great castle and it’s the kite surfing capital of Europe with a magnificent beach and constant wind.

I did it on $ 5K in 1995 for 13 weeks with friends to stay with for 1/2 of that. The other half of the time, I stayed in hostels. Prices have gone up since then though.
It will be tight, but with planning, hostels and maybe even couchsurfing.com, and eating from grocery stores and only doing free stuff, you could get by for two months on $ 3K. That means not much drinking, not much dining out (eat from the grocery store whenever possible), no expensive clubs, and cutting back on countries-get to know fewer places for a longer amount of time.
