yeah im going there next year and i was wondering what its going to be like. i went to the nylc and it was fucking amazing and we r all going to europe next year. is there any amazing sites to see and what are the hotels like? is there any American channels and plz tell me what does the food look like and taste is it good? thx

I am an American that also lives in Budapest with my Hungarian husband.
I think you will really enjoy your visit there.
You must check out one of the many spas and take a trip to Lake Balaton if the weather is good.
There are tons of night clubs in the city, my son had a great time dancing all night long when he was living in Budapest.It is a great place for young adults to have fun in.
Not many tv channels in English, we had cable tv and it wasn’t all that good for English speaking shows, Sometime HBO would have a movie on in English but not very often. I got sick of just watching news in English on the BBC , too many repeated shows.
If you stay for a long time and want to watch allot of tv. I would suggest setting yourself up before you leave with a ‘sling shot’system that you can buy at any US electronic store for around $ 150. you can receive stations over the internet cable from a tv in the states to your computer in Europe.Just need someone in the states to hook you up.
I have my own flat in Budapest so have never stayed in a hotel there.
The food and drinks are really good, some are spicy but not all.
Most of the tourist areas serve foods that outsiders will eat so have no fears.
