Inxs Inspired Me To Review Boutique Hotels In Prague
Back in the 1990s INXS had a hit called ‘Never Tear Us Apart’, a song and accompanying music video that shaped my future. The video was set in the snowy streets of Prague, and evoked a romantic idyll that stayed with me into adulthood, and is the reason that I decided to become a travel writer. My next excursion will see my childhood dreams come true as I get to review boutique hotels in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic.
Prague is famed for being an architectural delight with gothic overtones, romance and intrigue all rolled into one. The City has been a popular destination for Brits for years; at one time for its cheap beer-fuelled stag nights, but now for couples wanting a romantic city break. When I was offered the chance to review boutique hotels in Prague, I could not resist the temptation to invite my significant other, after all, what better way to feel the romance of the city than with as loved one; and of course feel for real the inspiration from all those years ago.
Our itinerary includes visiting the nearby historical towns that are home to Hansel and Gretel houses, and the many castles that are somehow tucked away in the Czech countryside. Other sightseeing adventures planned include witnessing the 15th century astronomical clock in the Old Town Square strike the hour and posing for a few touristy photos on the iconic Charles Bridge. This is actually where the aforementioned music video was set, and therefore an important part of my visit to Prague.
After sampling the daytime delights that every new visitor to the area must indulge in, we aim to soak up the culture of the city in one of the many restaurants and bars amongst the cobbled streets and baroque buildings and then seek out some Eastern European nightlife. Apparently the local beers are not to be missed, and if we have enough, we are sure to have a good nights sleep in our first boutique hotels in Prague.
With the tourist essentials out of the way, it will well and truly be time to get on with some work, after all that is why I am there. Taking my trusty laptop, it’ll be time to check out the coffee shops and cafes and get my first hand experience of the city down in a first draft. As you can imagine, being a travel writer is tiring work, and my next stay in one of the many luxury boutique hotels in Prague will be just what I need for a well earned rest!
